You’ve got to have Standards

OR "The Muggles of Ethical Work”

Embarking on the path of ethical work is like tiptoeing through a minefield, with each step threatening to blow up in your face. You see, I've had my fair share of business failures, and each time, I ended up reluctantly trudging back to the corporate world. Why? Because, quite frankly, the unprofessionalism, money-grabbing shenanigans, and backstabbing escapades I encountered were enough to make anyone question their life choices.

In this wild rollercoaster ride, I've been called a "do-gooder" more times than I can count. But here's the thing: I'm not a do-gooder; I'm a tryer. And I've been there, done that – there's no way I'm fitting into that dress again. If others can succeed in this ethical business world, I thought, surely I can too.

However, the cold, hard truth hits you like a ton of bricks: there's often little money in doing what you're passionate about. The best and brightest don't always flock to this sector because, well, they've got bills to pay too. But still, I persevered, not for the money, but for the sweet taste of independence and the chance to make a positive impact. How bad could it be, right? Stay tuned for more tales from the archives as I navigate the unpredictable waters of ethical entrepreneurship
